Hi I'm Sydney, dog mom to my amazing Bernese x Heeler mix, Rufus. I have been an animal lover my whole life and recently moved back to Ireland after 7 years in Canada. I now have my own dog walking business and am so fortunate to have my full time job being surrounded by the most amazing dogs! My life is very dog friendly, however my housing situation right now will not allow for doggie day care. Instead I offer walks and house sitting, depending on availability. Walks offered range from solo walks for odler/reactive dogs, group adventure walks along with smaller group social walks. 

Having lots of experience with larger breeds and strong dogs sets me apart from other sitters. I currently have quite a list of different breeds I walk weekly. These include; German & Belgian Shepherds, Rottweiler cross, Bernese cross, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, American Akita, Collie, Miniature Dachshund, Jack Russell cross, King Charles. Lots of high energy dogs so I guess you could say there's not much I can't handle !

You can be sure your dogs are in great hands when they're with me. We'll have a woofin good time and they will return home ready for a nap! My energetic personality is a great match for the dogs. Walks often include my own dog to tire your pup out with lots of play during our adventure! I'd love to offer my services when your schedule gets crazy. I have lots of patience and love to give to your pup while we're out!

I trained my dog Rufus myself and he has a great temperament. He loves everyone, other dogs and children. As far as experience goes, I have been dog walking for 3 years which has been great and extremely rewarding. I also volunteer at the local animal shelter. I was heavily involved in both family dogs growing up too. Our family dog now is 6 and I helped train her , along with getting her over her fear of water. We walk and adventure together regularly. Our childhood dog was also a best friend of mine. I have cared for friends dogs in my own home while living away, along with walking friends or neighbour's dogs while they were away, working or injured.

If your dog has any special dietary restrictions (treats/food given on walks), behavioral issues or problems with interacting with other dogs, reactivity, etc, just let me know and I'll be sure we are all safe and comfortable. I will always propose a meet and greet before the first walk with your pet. This ensures the dog can get familiar with me, get a feel for me and me for them, and gives us a chance to touch base and finalize expectations etc.
