WHO I AM – MY MOTIVATION FOR PET SITTING

Hi! My name is Giovanni. I’m Italian, from Venice, and I’m currently studying architecture at KU Leuven Sint-Lucas campus.

Animals have always been such an important part of my life, and caring for them truly makes me happy. That’s why pet sitting feels like so much more than just a job — it’s a chance to share my love for animals and give them the care and attention they deserve. Being around them also brings comfort and joy, since they have such a natural, therapeutic presence. In the end, pet sitting is something I love doing, and I feel lucky that it also lets me earn a little along the way.

MY EXPERIENCE

During my time as an international student in Canada, I had the chance to look after my host family’s sweet little dog, Kuma. I would take him for walks, feed him, and spend lots of time playing and cuddling with him.

Back home, my family and I have also adopted two wonderful cats: a playful black kitten and a gentle orange cat who had been waiting for adoption for a long time. Watching them grow and bond with each other has been an amazing experience. I enjoy caring for them — feeding them, keeping things clean, and most of all, cuddling with them.

MY SERVICES

As a student, I balance my studies with pet sitting, which I take very seriously. I understand how important it is for owners to know their pets are in safe, caring hands. I always adapt to your needs and preferences to ensure your pets are happy, safe, and loved.

What I offer:

Walks (typically around 30 minutes, but I’m happy to adjust based on your pet’s needs)

Pet sitting in your home — I don’t host animals in mine

I care for one dog at a time and am available for two to three walks per day

Please note that I don’t offer grooming, training, or administering medication.

I always follow each pet parent’s instructions carefully to make sure every furry friend feels comfortable, secure, and loved.
