Ciao! I’m Deniz, a 25-year-old Master’s student at Sapienza University, currently writing my thesis. For two years, I’ve been living in Rome, supporting my studies and learning Italian, and there is nothing I enjoy more than spending my free time caring for animals.
I have lived with cats since childhood, I took care of them both on streets and at home. I am highly experienced with special needs, including senior cats with kidney disease and disabled cats. I am comfortable administering medication and following complex feeding schedules, cleaning litter or anything else. I’ve been active in neutering projects in Istanbul and Izmir, safely catching feral cats for sterilization. Thus I am very calm and fluent in animal body language, I know how to win the trust of even the most timid or aggressive pets. I was a feeding volunteer back in Turkey for street dogs and campus dogs of my university and spent much time around dogs. I also have a soft spot for smaller or exotic friends. I’ve had turtles, birds, and fish as pets growing up. I treat every animal as if they were my own. I am tidy, reliable, and I will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I live near center and being on my thesis term, am flexible with my schedule.
